Crowd GPS Scanner App allows users to conveniently locate common crowd GPS devices such as Tile. These devices, about the size of a coin, have the ability to transmit signals back to their owners for up to a year using just a watch battery. Before these devices were introduced to the market, tracking required larger batteries and sim cards, leading to bulky and easily detectable solutions.

The Crowd Locate system operates based on the idea that when a Tile is paired with a phone, it will remain connected within approximately 30 feet. When the Tile device goes out of this range, it will send a "Find Me" signal. Any person's phone running the Tile app can receive this signal. The more individuals with the app, the greater the likelihood of pinpointing the Tile. Upon the Tile coming within 30 feet of another mobile phone running the app, its exact location will be identified on a map and sent back to the Tile owner in real-time.

With our App, users can detect all devices within around 30 feet, listing all detected devices. The App specifically identifies devices that are not paired with the user's phone or are emitting signals due to being out of range from a paired device.

An illustrative method to test this functionality involves pairing a Tile with your phone. While the Tile app is active on your phone, our Crowd GPS Scanner App will not display any Tiles that you own. However, upon switching off your phone and turning it back on, causing the Tile to enter lost mode and emit a "Find Me" signal, reopening the Crowd GPS Scanner App will reveal your Tile device on the screen. Once you clear these results and re-activate the Tile App for pairing, our Crowd GPS Scanner App will exclude your own device from detection.
